The Executive Secretariat of the Sahel and Sahara Countries is monitoring the work of the preparatory committee for the fourth meeting.

The Executive Secretary of the Sahel and Sahara Countries, Mr. Adu Al-Hajji, held a meeting in the evening of Friday, April 19, 2024, at the headquarters of the Executive Secretariat of the Sahel and Sahara Countries. The meeting included the Chairman and members of the preparatory committee for the fourth meeting of the Council of Ministers of Youth of the Sahel and Sahara Countries, which is scheduled to be held in the capital, Tripoli, from April 21 to 24, 2024.

Attending the meeting were Ms. Randa Ghareeb, the Deputy Minister of Youth for Planning and Development Affairs, the Director of the Secretary-General's Office, the Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department of the Union, the Director of Ceremonies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the preparatory committee, and the heads and members of the subcommittees.

The meeting discussed logistical preparations and arrangements related to the reception of delegations of Ministers of Youth and Sports from the Sahel and Sahara Countries participating in the fourth meeting, which is taking place in Tripoli after a 15-year hiatus. The preparatory committee also provided explanations to the Executive Secretary regarding the preparations and arrangements for the meeting venue, in addition to discussing the general program.

Mr. Al-Hajji commended the efforts of the preparatory committee and the progress made in preparation for the launch of the meeting, which is hosted by the Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity. He also praised the role of the Government of National Unity in revitalizing activities within the union by hosting meetings of sector ministers from the member countries.
