Shahat Hostel is the headquarters of the Shelter, aid and Psychological Support Committee.

Shahat the road leading to the Shahat Youth Hostel opened and prepared to be the headquarters of the emergency room of the Libyan Youth Hostels Association and a starting point and support for aid and rescue teams and medical staff from the association's affiliates heading towards Derna city, and a center to help and shelter the refugees and those affected by the hurricane
