Launch of the Local Youth Climate Conference at Shahat Youth Hostel

The activities of the Local Youth Climate Conference on Climate Change, LCOY Libya 2025, were launched at Shahat Youth Hostel, with the participation of over 50 young people from various Libyan cities, alongside local and international guests and representatives from the Ministry of Environment and several climate organizations. The opening included an environmental debate and a discussion session on climate challenges in Libya and the role of youth in addressing them. The conference aimed to prepare a youth recommendations paper to present at the global Youth Climate Conference (COY). The event was organized by the Libyan Youth Hostels Association, Ru’ya Foundation, and the United Nations Development Programme.
