The General Assembly Renews Confidence in Mr. Al-Shibani Abdullah to Lead the Association for Another Electoral Term

In accordance with the provisions of the Association’s Articles of Association and the regulations governing its work, the General Assembly convened on Saturday morning at Misrata Seafront Youth Hostel to elect the President and Members of the Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 electoral term.

The electoral session witnessed strong attendance by members of the General Assembly, alongside a number of observers from prominent figures within the Youth Hostel Movement. The session was also attended by Mr. Moncef Ben Mansour, President of the Arab Federation of Youth Associations and President of the Tunisian Federation of Youth Hostel and Tourism; Mr. Mohammed Al-Rajoubi, Head of the Council of Elders and Wise Men of the city of Misrata and one of the pioneers of the Libyan Youth Hostel Movement; as well as several members of the Advisory Council.

The results concluded with the victory of the first list, headed by Mr. Al-Shibani Abdullah Al-Shibani, following a previous term under his leadership that was described by members of the General Assembly as one of the most successful and significant periods in the history of the Libyan Youth Hostel Movement.

We extend our congratulations to the newly elected Board of Directors on earning this confidence, and we pray that God grants them success and guidance in fulfilling their responsibility in serving the Libyan Youth Hostel Movement.
