The Executive Director of the Association participates in the Arab-Asian Meeting of Youth Hostel Leaders.
In the context of celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of the Arab Union of Youth Hostel Associations, Mr. Abdessalam Al-Arabi, a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Youth Hostel Federation and the Executive Director of the Association, participated in the Arab-Asian Meeting of Youth Hostel Leaders held in Cairo, Egypt. The event was attended by Mr. Stefan Korman, Honorary President of the International Youth Hostel Federation, and representatives from 12 youth hostel associations.
During the meeting's inaugural session, Mr. Moncef Ben Mansour, President of the Arab Union of Youth Hostel Associations, expressed gratitude to His Excellency the Libyan Minister of Youth, Mr. Fathallah Al-Zenni, and to Mr. Abdullah Al-Sheibani, Chairman of the Board of the Libyan Youth Hostels Association, for their significant efforts in supporting the youth hostel movement in the Arab region. He highlighted recent events such as the celebration of the Union's Golden Jubilee at the Al-Khums International Youth Hostel and presented the promotional plan for the Jubilee celebrations. Additionally, he announced the launch of the Arab Youth Hostel Center for Journalism and Media.
This meeting is part of the Arab Union's plans to discuss a joint work agenda among associations, develop a unified Arab national strategy for youth hostels, consolidate the strength of Arab associations, and attract partners to support their candidate in the elections of the International Federation.
