Minister of Youth, Mr. Fathallah Al-Zani, meets with the Minister of Youth, Culture, Arts, and Sports of the Republic of Niger.

Minister of Youth, Mr. Fathallah Al-Zani, met this evening, Sunday, April 21, 2024, with His Excellency the Minister of Youth, Culture, Arts, and Sports, Mr. Amadou Abdulrahman, on the sidelines of the preparations for the fourth session of the meeting of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Sahel and Sahara Countries, hosted by the Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around various conditions in the African Sahel region, developments in public affairs in Niger, and the importance of mutual cooperation between the two countries. Efforts were unified to support and empower youth regionally through the establishment of capacity-building programs in various fields under the umbrella of the CEN-SAD community.

Al-Zani emphasized in his remarks during the meeting that the Ministry of Youth of the Government of National Unity has worked on enhancing African youth movement within the CEN-SAD community, promoting African unity, and overcoming differences to address all risks facing youth in the Sahel and Sahara region, including irregular migration, terrorism, and violent extremism. Thus, Libya today hosts these ministerial meetings of the CEN-SAD community through a national plan aimed at building capacities for mutual cooperation and enhancing active youth participation to empower and engage them in decision-making processes related to their affairs and issues.
