🔸 General Assembly Holds Its First Regular Meeting for 2026

The General Assembly of the Libyan Youth Hostels Association held its first regular meeting for 2026 on Tuesday morning at Misrata Al-Bahri Youth Hostel, chaired by its President, Mr. Al-Shaibani Abdullah Al-Shaibani, with the حضور of the Board of Directors, directors of youth hostels and offices, the Advisory Council’s presidency, and directors of departments and offices at the Association’s headquarters.

The meeting included a review of the implementation status of the 2025 maintenance and development plan for youth hostels, as well as the presentation of the 2026 development, maintenance, and construction plan. It also featured visual presentations of the annual activity reports for 2025 and the work of departments and offices, in addition to the first unveiling of the Libyan Youth Hostels Guide, considered a qualitative step toward documenting work and facilitating access to the Association’s services, along with other agenda items.

At the conclusion of the meeting, members of the General Assembly expressed their confidence and appreciation for the current progress of the Association and the plans prepared by the Board of Directors under the leadership of Mr. Al-Shaibani Abdullah Al-Shaibani. They also extended their thanks to the Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Al-Dbeibah, for his continuous support and patronage of the Association’s plans and programs.
